- Eat a fish sandwich (balık ekmek) from a barbecue boat floating next to the Galata Bridge
- Browse Istiklal Avenue and its many exciting side roads
- See the Hagia Sophia
- Eat mussels filled with rice and some fresh lemon juice on top directly from the street sellers
- See the Topkapı Palace
- Browse the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar
- See the Basilica Cistern
- See the Rumeli Hisarı
- Have a sunny breakfast with great Bosphorus view, e.g. somewhere here
- See the Kız Kulesi
- Have a Bosphorus boat tour e.g. from Ortakoy, where you should also grab a tasty Kumpir close to the peer
- See the Suleymaniye Mosque

From the terrace there is the Goldon Horn view. To sit down and have a drink. - Sanat
At Taksim Nevizade (close to cicek pasaji).
Affordable prices. To sit down and have a trink, no dancing. - Kiki
Towards Cihangir, across German Hospital (Alman Hastanesi).
Small, nice place with garden. After 11pm they rearrange/remove the tables so that it is more of a party place then. - Murekkep
At Taksim, near Tunel area.
Nice place with a different style. Especially on Fridays to Sundays, after 11pm it becomes a party place. Mostly young people are there. There is a very beautifully decorated openair terrace called "curcuna", but not sure if it will be open by then. - Aperativo
At Taksim Asmali Mescit.
A nice place to have a drink with aparetives but a bit pricey. - Karakoy Bej
A bit more pricey, for those looking for a more stylish place. There are parties in the evenings but need to check for particular dates. - Babylon
